“Every long journey starts with a single step” Buddha
When I became aware of the mistakes I was making and the available alternatives of which I had no knowledge, I decided to dedicate myself to the study of the importance of the mind and its influence on our eating habits.
Being a passionate cook, I did not want to sacrifice either the flavours or the tradition of the various cultural influences I was brought up with. Born in Portugal to Norwegian parents and educated in England and France, I was always influenced by people with a rich and inspiring culture.
I graduated in Fashion Design at Esmod in Paris and worked in the world of fashion and marketing. It was an unforeseen event of life in the form of a heart attack at the age of 47 that put me on the path of Vipassana meditation.
Noticing a gap in the conscious catering market, I set up my own company which I later transformed into a means of sharing knowledge. To do this, I took the Health Coach course at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York, which gave me specialised knowledge, turning a passion into a profession.
I look forward to sharing with you everything that has allowed me to become the fulfilled person I am today.
As an avid collector of cookery books, I embark on culinary adventures worldwide. I am an ardent traveler, often dragging my husband to join me in cookery courses across different countries. The hours spent exploring local markets and connecting with native cooks add an extra layer of joy to my journeys.
One of my greatest pleasures is passing on my culinary knowledge. I have been on Portuguese TV, where I happily share my favorite recipes. Beyond the screen, I run my own company, organizing regular cooking courses and workshops.
In addition to my culinary pursuits, I am a dedicated Vipassana meditator. I am addicted to reading, a proud mother of four and grandmother to a beautiful boy. Furthermore, my life would not be complete without the comforting companionship of bread and cheese.
Join me on this flavorful journey, where culinary exploration meets a zest for life.
